<avalancheActivityHighlights>Fresh wind slabs require caution. Gliding avalanches and moist snow slides as the day progresses.</avalancheActivityHighlights>
<avalancheActivityComment>The no longer entirely fresh wind slabs of Monday can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases in particular on very steep, little used north and east facing slopes above approximately 2200 m. Caution is to be exercised at their margins in particular. They are lying on weak layers. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls in north to northeast to east facing aspects. In particular on steep, little used north and east facing slopes they can be released easily and reach medium size in isolated cases.

During the day: As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation more small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized gliding avalanches and moist snow slides are possible.

Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities call for meticulous route selection. The wind slabs are to be bypassed in particular in very steep terrain. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised as well in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls. In particular west and north facing slopes: Even in moderately steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard crust.</avalancheActivityComment>
<snowpackStructureComment>Monday: The sometimes storm force wind has transported the new snow significantly. The more recent wind slabs are poorly bonded with the old snowpack in particular on wind-protected shady slopes. Shooting cracks when stepping on the snowpack and stability tests indicate the unfavourable bonding of the snowpack in particular on wind-loaded slopes.

Above approximately 2000 m there are 100 to 200 cm of snow, and even more in some localities. Snow depths vary greatly at intermediate and high altitudes, depending on the infuence of the wind.</snowpackStructureComment>
<tendencyComment>Thursday: Gradual decrease in danger of moist avalanches as the temperature drops. The danger of dry slab avalanches will not decrease for the time being.</tendencyComment>
