<avalancheActivityHighlights>Weakly bonded old snow represents the main danger. A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail.</avalancheActivityHighlights>
<avalancheActivityComment>The old wind slabs of last week can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases. They are lying on weak layers on very steep northwest, north and east facing slopes above approximately 2100 m. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. The avalanches in these loacations are rather small. In addition in places that are protected from the wind, individual small dry loose snow avalanches are possible.
As a consequence of warming during the day and the solar radiation, the likelihood of gliding avalanches and snow slides being released will increase a little on very steep sunny slopes below approximately 2200 m. Moist avalanches can in some cases be released by people.

The conditions are generally favourable for backcountry touring and other off-piste activities.</avalancheActivityComment>
<snowpackStructureComment>Wind-protected shady slopes: The upper section of the snowpack consists of faceted crystals; its surface consists of loosely bonded snow.
Steep sunny slopes: The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard crust.
In all regions a lot of snow is lying for the time of year. Snow depths vary greatly above the tree line, depending on the infuence of the wind.</snowpackStructureComment>
<tendencyComment>The weather will be sunny. The danger of moist avalanches will increase a little during the day.</tendencyComment>
