Moist snow slides and avalanches require caution. As a consequence of new snow and a light to moderate wind from variable directions, mostly small wind slabs formed since Wednesday especially adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas. Single backcountry tourers can release avalanches in isolated cases. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls. <br/> In particular on steep sunny slopes and in the regions exposed to precipitation moist snow slides are to be expected as a consequence of solar radiation. Over a wide area 5 to 10 cm of snow, and up to 20 cm in some localities, has fallen since Wednesday above approximately 2300 m. <br/> Shady slopes high altitudes: In isolated cases new snow and wind slabs are lying on a weakly bonded old snowpack. <br/> Sunny slopes: The solar radiation will give rise as the day progresses to increasing moistening of the snowpack. <br/> In all regions at intermediate and high altitudes less snow than usual is lying. At low altitude from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying. Gradual increase in danger of moist avalanches as a consequence of warming during the day.
