On Saturday the wind will be moderate to strong adjacent to ridgelines in particular at the southern and eastern borders of Aran. The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in particular on north to east to south facing aspects and above the tree line. The avalanches in these loacations are rather small, caution is to be exercised in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas as well as at the border to Ribagorça and Pallars. As a consequence of the northwesterly wind the wind slabs will increase in size appreciably on Saturday. At the southern and eastern borders of Aran as well as at high altitude snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. <br/> Backcountry touring calls for experience in the assessment of avalanche danger and careful route selection.
