Wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. Stability tests and field observations confirm the favourable bonding of the snowpack adjacent to ridgelines in all aspects. <br/> Low and intermediate altitudes: The snowpack is largely stable. The surface of the snowpack is hardly frozen at all and will already soften in the late morning. <br/> Backcountry touring calls for caution and restraint."
